Base-Du-Geny
Genius is a comprehensive, modern learning management system that is designed from the ground-up to reduce the manual ‘busy work’ associated with managing a large-scale e-Learning initiative. Through visualizations and role-based dashboards, learners, instructors, and managers become more empowered to manage their own learning experience. Genius supports a variety of payment gateways out of the box, allowing your organization to accept payments online during the enrollment process.
Streamlined Registration and Enrollment Process
Genius takes the burden of managing your learner-facing processes away from your Administration team by enabling learners to register, pay for and enroll in learning opportunities without requiring the involvement of an Administrator. Genius supports 9 payment gateways out of the box and provides a simple and easy-to-use shopping cart model for your learners to use. When learners enroll in a course, Genius automatically sends them an email confirmation and also updates their profile with their course enrollments. base du geny is able to do this because it has been built from the ground up to be a unified system that is designed for data empowerment and that integrates with the systems of record used by your organization.
Genius also allows learners to manage their own transcripts and certificates. Through a set of self-service tools, learners can request their transcript or certificate directly from Genius and the system will then take care of sending it to the appropriate person at your organization to be issued on your organization’s livery. This helps reduce the amount of Administrative work that is required to provide these documents and it also enables your learner to control how their information is shared with other staff at your organization. This helps your learners to become more engaged in the management of their own learning. Similarly, it is possible to automate the provision of notifications by using a feature called Auto-Emails that can be configured to contact a group of users when a pre-defined “trigger” condition is met.
Automated Communications and Notifications
Genius automatically communicates with your learners, instructors and administrators through role-based alerts, customizable reports, and automated emails. This includes notifications when a learner starts or ends an enrollment, course completions, and other events. Genius also helps you transform the learning data gathered by your LMS, core HR system and other systems into actionable information through visualizations presented in role-based dashboards and customizable reports.
Configures the name that is displayed as the Sender in Genius auto emails (Password Reset, Course Completion, etc). You can also set this at the affiliation level if you want to override the system default.
Determines the number of characters that are displayed for each communication entry in the communications log. This allows you to increase the amount of detail that is shown for each communication item in the timeline. Configures a URL or file that contains your organization’s usage terms, which appear on the public student signup page. This parameter is optional, but we recommend it as it provides a way for your learners to understand how the system will be used.

Specifies whether or not users can delete objects in Genius (learners, sections, courses, administrators). If this is not enabled, only the administrator can delete these items and any changes that they have made.

You can set this at the affiliation level if you have an alternative completion formula that should be used for a specific affiliation. Enables the coaching feature, which allows learners to have a designated coach monitor their progress and help them achieve their goals. Using the coaching feature, coaches can track and record progress for learners and view a complete history of all of the coaching activity that has occurred for each learner.
Determines how coaching activities are recorded and reported on in the CheckLearnerBalance.AddInterestToLedger job. You can specify a percentage or an absolute value for this parameter.
Transform Learning Data into Actionable Information
Genius streamlines and simplifies a wide variety of student management processes, providing users with access to a single source of truth. By combining information from various systems, Genius empowers learners to act on data with visualizations in role-based dashboards and customizable reports. This helps reduce the ‘busy work’ that can stifle a learning initiative. Genius also automates and simplifies communications and notifications for end-users – eliminating the need to interface with Administrators to complete simple tasks. For example, Genius can automatically send emails to a group of learners if a particular “trigger” condition is met. This feature can be used to automatically confirm enrollment or simply to remind students about upcoming classes.
In addition, Genius provides the ability to collect and store payments from learners. Using our e-Commerce platform, your organization can provide users with the option to pay for their courses completely online through our “shopping cart” model. Genius also allows your learners to pay for their course through a check or by presenting a purchase order.
Genius makes it possible to transform the data gathered from your LMS, your core HR system, and your learners’ engagement with their courses into actionable, practical information for students, instructors, and managers. Genius enables learners, faculty, and staff to become data-driven participants in your learning initiatives through role-based dashboards and customizable reports.
Genius also integrates with the systems of record at your school, university, or company to eliminate the need for manual data entry and re-entry. Genius can be linked to an existing Student Information System (SIS), multiple Learning Management Systems, authentication servers, and other HR or corporate systems – all with bidirectional communication. This allows you to automatically transfer users from one of your systems to Genius – making it possible for them to enroll in their first course without any interaction with an Administrator.
Integrations with Systems of Record
Genius is built from the ground-up to integrate with your system of record – allowing learners and instructors to become data-driven participants in your learning initiative. By connecting to your Student Information System (SIS), multiple learning management systems, authentication servers, and HR/CRM systems, Genius can turn the data you collect into actionable information that your learners, instructors, and administrators can act on through visuals presented in role-based dashboards.
Our integrations are bidirectional – allowing your Genius instance to send updates into your integrated system and receive changes from it – eliminating the need for an Administrator to interface with the integrated platform on a periodic basis. This also allows your learners to enroll and pay for courses online – reducing the amount of “busy work” they need to complete in order to get started with your learning content.
Conclusion
When an integration is first established, it will undergo an initial data sync. Afterwards, record additions and updates are queued up to be sent in an API call every five minutes. Exceptions are made for activities such as call logging or ticket creation which are processed in real-time and do not wait on an API call to be updated in the integrated system. If your system of record has an API limit on the number of updates that can be made in a given time period, that will likely impact how frequently updates are received from the Genius platform. This is generally posted on the product’s website, or by the company who offers the API.
