We’ve travelled to numerous tourist destinations, but we’ve got to say that our favourite has to be in Osaka, Japan. Not only did we stay at Swissotel, which made our experience truly unforgettable, but we also indulged in the most interesting and memorable food experiences offered by Osaka best restaurants. We had a food trip that will last us through the years; of course, with the unrivaled Japanese cuisine in Swissotel, it was certainly a vacation that we’ll remember for a lifetime.
We don’t mean to make you envious, but really, you should be. If you want to try out Osaka’s best cuisine experiences, here’s a brief guide to include in your next vacation to Osaka:
- Table 36 – We got to experience the best of modern European cuisine right in the middle of Osaka, 147 meters above the ground and practically in the clouds. It was a feast for the eyes with its panoramic views of Osaka and a feast of the senses with this restaurant’s gourmet pizzas and pastas, homemade desserts by Executive Pastry Chef Yuki Nakamura, and the Swiss Buffet on weekends that all hotel patrons absolutely look forward to.
- Minami – This is where we got to experience one of the best farm-to-table offerings this side of Asia. It was a culinary journey of teppanyaki dining where we enjoyed organic produce, fresh harvests, and freshly caught seafood. You have got to try their marbled beef tenderloin, sautéed scallop, miso soup with Japanese pickles, senshu vegetables, and tiger prawns. Even just thinking about this food is making our mouths water.
- Hana-Goyomi – This is where we enjoyed one of the best sashimi and tempura we’ve tasted so far. The ingredients and special sauces by their sushi masters offered subtle flavors that brought out the best taste of the sushi. It must be mentioned too that their dish presentation is something else: artistic, unique, modern, and of course, unforgettable, and it makes the dining experience even more memorable. Choose the multi-course meal when you dine at Hana-Goyomi to truly experience Kaiseki cuisine at its finest.
- SH’UN Wine and Dine – If your goal on your next vacation is to experience the wine culture of foreign countries like Japan, then this restaurant should be on your checklist. We tried their kushiage, which is breaded deep-fried skewers with origins from 1929 Osaka. The Kushiage Sensei who prepared our food right in front of us, took our breath away with his skill and talent in preparing this truly authentic Japanese staple. Their wine list was also something else with their comprehensive selection of over 450 bottles of red and white wine, champagne, and rosé wine. Choose from their recommended bottles that match their restaurant’s seasonal menu, a palatable complement that’s truly unique in Swissotel.
Our experience in Japan was truly memorable and something to tell the grandkids. It’s definitely worth all the effort of raising your travel budget. You can have the same unforgettable experience too! Just book the Swissotel to experience what this side of Asia has to offer to the wo
